This series was inspired by a visit to Milwaukee Avenue in Minneapolis — a two-block stretch of homes on quarter-sized lots built in the late 1800s for immigrants. The street was added to the National Register of Historic Places in the 1970s. The character and repetition of the houses sparked my artistic interest.
