This series has personal meaning for me. When I retired in 2015, I spent time identifying some things that I thought would give my life meaning in retirement. One thing was to cultivate a practice of seeking joy. The screen-printed “bubbles” in these quilts evoke happiness and lightness that can come from appreciating everyday things.
